The move follows weeks of heightened risks to maritime traffic linked to tensions involving Iran, Israel and U.S. forces, which had prompted concerns among shipping operators and insurers over potential disruptions to global oil and gas supplies.<\/p>\n
The ceasefire, which began at midnight between Thursday and Friday, aims to halt fighting between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah group and prevent a broader regional escalation.<\/p>\n
