\nHoly shrines across Najaf, Karbala, Baghdad (Kadhimiya), and Samarra have been draped in black to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the 6th Leader of the Ummah and rightful successor of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family).<\/p>\n
According to local reports, banners of mourning have been widely displayed at major religious sites, reflecting grief and remembrance among followers. The commemorations include the organization of mourning gatherings, condolence exchanges, and religious assemblies held in Husseiniyas, religious centers, and even in streets and neighborhoods across the country.<\/p>\n
Devotees in Iraq\u2019s holy cities, along with other provinces, continue longstanding traditions of commemorating the martyrdom of the Immaculate Descendents of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon them).
