\nReligious communities and faithful believers across various countries marked, on the 15th of Shawwal, the anniversary of the martyrdom of the revered uncle of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), the Master of Martyrs Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib, alongside the anniversary of the passing of the esteemed Abd al-Azim al-Hasani (peace be upon them both).<\/p>\n
The two revered figures are remembered as among the most prominent personalities who made great sacrifices in support of the Islamic message and in defense of its principles.<\/p>\n
Scholars and religious commentators highlighted that Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib (peace be upon him)\u2014known as the \u201cMaster of Martyrs\u201d\u2014was among the bravest men of the Arabs and one of the most valiant champions of early Islam. He stood firmly alongside the Prophet, defending the faith in the most difficult circumstances and never wavering in his support. His courage and stature were such that the leaders of Quraysh feared him, and he played a decisive role in protecting the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family) during critical moments in Mecca.<\/p>\n
They noted that his title is closely linked to his role in defending Islam and his participation in the early battles of the Muslims, particularly the Battle of Uhud, where he attained martyrdom after demonstrating exceptional courage, sacrifice, and faith. Due to his unwavering faith and distinguished record in supporting Islam, he held a special place in the affection and regard of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).<\/p>\n
Regarding Abd al-Azim al-Hasani, scholars described him as a distinguished scholarly and spiritual figure\u2014an ascetic, devout worshipper, and a trusted transmitter of hadith\u2014who was closely associated with the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He contributed significantly to spreading their teachings and preserving their knowledge.<\/p>\n
They pointed out that he was a descendant of Hasan ibn Ali and lived during the time of several Imams, including Musa al-Kazim through Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon them), and is known to have directly met Muhammad al-Jawad and Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon them), from whom he narrated many traditions.<\/p>\n
Abd al-Azim al-Hasani later migrated to the city of Ray, where he continued his scholarly and missionary efforts despite difficult circumstances.
