In a statement cited by Anadolu Agency, AMSO said the decision to halt the channel\u2019s activities undermines freedom of expression and restricts citizens\u2019 right to access information. The organization called for conditions that would enable the station to continue operating and appealed to international human rights institutions to support independent media in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The suspension of Rah-e-Farda TV was reported on March 1, when Taliban authorities halted the channel\u2019s radio and television broadcasts in Kabul.
