The remarks followed a disruption during Trump\u2019s State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, when Tlaib and Omar interrupted the speech to protest his immigration policies, shouting, \u201cYou have killed Americans!\u201d before leaving the chamber.<\/p>\n
In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump criticized the lawmakers, accusing them of misconduct and questioning their place in the country. Omar, who was born in Somalia, has been a US citizen for nearly three decades, while Tlaib, a Palestinian American born in Detroit, is a US citizen by birth. Under US law, neither can be deported.<\/p>\n

Separately, a federal judge in Massachusetts, Brian E. Murphy, ruled that the administration\u2019s policy of deporting migrants to third countries where they have no ties is unlawful, stating that affected individuals must be granted due process.
