The festive lighting, installed along Gro\u00dfe Bockenheimer Stra\u00dfe (Fre\u00dfgass\u2019), features crescent moons, stars, traditional lanterns and the message \u201cHappy Ramadan.\u201d It has been set up for the third consecutive year and is intended as a symbol of social cohesion and recognition of the Muslim community\u2019s presence in the city.<\/p>\n
The lights were switched on in the early evening, with Frankfurt\u2019s mayor Nargess Eskandari-Gr\u00fcnberg and city officials present alongside community representatives. Officials have said the initiative reflects the city\u2019s diversity and solidarity with Muslims observing Ramadan.<\/p>\n
