\nA copy of Oman\u2019s national Quran has been donated to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, marking the first time this distinguished edition has been presented to an Egyptian cultural institution.<\/p>\n
According to reports by Gulf media, the donation was made by Thomas Milo, the designer of the electronic typefaces used in printing the Omani national Quran, widely known as the Muscat Mushaf and also referred to as the Sultan Qaboos Quran. Milo presented the copy during a visit to the library\u2019s headquarters.<\/p>\n
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina described the Muscat Mushaf as a landmark cultural and intellectual project that brings together the sanctity of the Quranic text with the possibilities offered by modern digital transformation.
