\nSenior Shiite religious authority Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has stressed that true nearness to Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) is not achieved through affection alone, but through action and practical commitment to his teachings and guidance.<\/p>\n
The remarks were published on the official website of his office in conjunction with the observance of Mid-Sha\u2019ban, which marks the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi. Ayatollah Shirazi noted that while love for the Imam represents an important spiritual value, it is insufficient unless it is translated into conduct that aligns with the Imam\u2019s commands and prohibitions.<\/p>\n
He explained that believers draw closer to the Imam of the Age through adherence to Islamic legal rulings, the cultivation of proper Islamic manners and ethics, and acting upon the teachings of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
