\nA serious attack on a Muslim woman lawyer in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Hardoi has sparked sharp debates about safety, justice, and the cost of speaking against corruption at the village level, Clarion India reported.<\/p>\n
Advocate Firdous Jahan has alleged that she and her family were attacked by the husband of a village head and his associates after she filed official complaints exposing corruption. She says the assault was meant as punishment for taking legal action.<\/p>\n
The incident took place in broad daylight as Firdous Jahan was travelling with her family in a car on Wednesday. According to her complaint, the village head\u2019s husband, Naseem, along with several men, surrounded the vehicle, damaged it, and attacked those inside.<\/p>\n
She said the notice and inquiry had already led to official action against the village head, Nasim, after departments confirmed wrongdoing. \u201cInstead of accepting the law, they chose violence,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
A video of the attack, now widely shared on social media, shows men using sticks and iron rods to break the car windows. One person is dragged out and beaten by five to seven attackers, while two women are seen trying to shield the victim. Broken glass, a damaged car body, and terrified voices are clearly visible.<\/p>\n
So far, there has been no clear public statement on arrests or strict action.
