Large crowds of mourning pilgrims from across Iraq are continuing their journey on foot toward the holy city of Kadhimiya to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Devoted men and women of all ages have taken part in the pilgrimage, moving steadily along the routes leading to the shrine in an atmosphere marked by devotion and religious solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Shia Waves News Agency, numerous service tents (mawakib) and Hussaini stations have been set up along the routes, providing food, accommodation, guidance for pilgrims, and logistical support. These efforts have created an organized and spiritual environment reflecting the deep reverence of pilgrims for the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iraq\u2019s Ministry of Interior said no specific security incidents have been recorded so far. Spokesperson Miqdad Miri stated that Kadhimiya is fully prepared to receive the pilgrims, with traffic flowing smoothly and security forces deployed to maintain order and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the commemoration approaches, Iraqi authorities have placed Baghdad, Kadhimiya, and Samarra under heightened security and service readiness. Middle East News reported that the Baghdad Operations Command has implemented a preventive security plan covering main and secondary routes, with coordination among intelligence agencies to counter any potential threats. Walking routes, including the Kut\u2013Baghdad axis, have been fully secured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Samarra, the Iraqi News Agency quoted police officials as saying a comprehensive security plan is in place to protect roads linking Baghdad with Samarra and neighboring provinces, in coordination with the Holy Shrine of the Imams al-Askariyyain (peace be upon them).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the services side, Iraq\u2019s Ministry of Transport announced the operation of 11 special trains from Baghdad, Basra, Diwaniyah, and other cities to ease congestion and facilitate pilgrim movement. The Baghdad Governorate has also deployed 532 service vehicles, ambulances, and round-the-clock support teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
