A school teacher was shot dead by unidentified assailants inside the campus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Uttar Pradesh\u2019s Aligarh town late Wednesday night, Deccan Herald reported. Police said the victim, Danish Ali, was attacked near the university library while walking with friends.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, two masked men on a motorcycle opened fire, hitting Ali multiple times before fleeing the scene. Security guards nearby rushed to help after hearing gunshots and transported him to hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Ali, a former AMU student, taught computer science at the ABK Boys School affiliated with the university.<\/p>\n
Police said preliminary investigations point to possible personal enmity as a motive. A case has been registered and multiple teams have been formed to track down the attackers. CCTV footage from the campus is being reviewed, and security has been tightened at AMU.
