Syria’s defense ministry issued an order to cease targeting SDF positions. The SDF subsequently stated it would stop responding to government attacks after de-escalation contacts. The violence erupted amidst heightened regional tension, as Turkish officials warned of military action if the SDF fails to meet a year-end deadline to integrate into the state\u2019s armed forces.<\/p>\n
