Deadly clashes have escalated along the disputed Cambodia\u2013Thailand border, forcing more than half a million people into evacuation centres, The Guardian reported. Cambodia accused Thailand of launching fresh airstrikes on Thursday and violating international law by deploying heavy weaponry and troops across the frontier. Thailand denied the claims, saying its military responded with artillery and mortars after Cambodian forces allegedly targeted Thai positions the previous night.
