Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: During Rule of Holy Prophet and Imam Ali, Not Even a Span of Land Was Sold

\nThe daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi was held on Saturday, the 14th of Jumada al-Thani 1447.<\/p>\n
As in previous sessions, the Supreme Marja answered attendees\u2019 questions on various jurisprudential issues.<\/p>\n
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasized that selling unowned land is not legitimate, stating that governments do not possess ownership of land and therefore cannot lawfully sell it.<\/p>\n
He cited a hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family): \u201cThe land belongs to God and to those who cultivate it,\u201d explaining that ownership rests with those who develop the land, not with the ruling authorities.<\/p>\n
