At least nine people were killed and 27 others injured when confiscated explosives detonated inside a police station in Indian-administered Kashmir, the region\u2019s police chief said on Saturday, as reported by Reuters. Police Director General Nalin Prabhat told a news briefing that the victims included officers, government employees and forensic experts who were examining the materials when the explosion occurred late Friday. <\/p>\n

A police source said some bodies were severely burned, complicating identification efforts. The force of the blast scattered body parts into nearby residential areas up to 200 meters away.
