The ritual, attended by pilgrims, local residents, and shrine officials, involved the dusting and incense perfuming of the sacred dome, symbolizing renewal, purity, and respect for one of Islam\u2019s holiest sites.<\/p>\n
At the same time, major reconstruction and development works are underway at the Al-Kadhimayn Holy Shrine in Baghdad.
