\nIranian calligrapher and researcher Tandis Taghavi is leveraging the art of writing the Quran to foster interfaith lessons and cultural bonds between nations, as reported by the International Quran News Agency (IQNA).<\/p>\n
Taghavi, who serves as a culture and arts ambassador at the Asia Cultural Coordination Centre, recently participated in an Iran-Korea calligraphy exhibition held at the South Korean Ambassador’s residence in Tehran. The event celebrated the 63rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
Speaking to IQNA, Taghavi explained that she used the art of calligraphy to display Quranic verses and religious teachings centered on the theme of “Family.” She emphasized that calligraphy is a “civilisational art form” and the “language of civilisational dialogue,” allowing artists to use the “best words” to connect cultures.<\/p>\n
While acknowledging the religious differences between Iran and Korea, Taghavi noted that their civilizational roots share similarities.
