Argentinian scientists have uncovered fossilized remains of one of the world\u2019s oldest dinosaur species in the Andes Mountains, The Peninsula reported. Researchers from the CONICET institute found an almost complete skeleton of Huayracursor Jaguensis at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the country\u2019s northwest. The discovery includes parts of the skull, a full vertebral column, and nearly intact limbs. <\/p>\n
Published in Nature magazine, the study suggests the species lived between 230 and 225 million years ago, during the late Triassic period when the first dinosaurs emerged.
