The crisis has been exacerbated by funding shortages and rising operational costs, leading to the closure of community kitchens that previously provided daily meals to thousands of families.<\/p>\n
UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Denise Brown, called for the lifting of the siege, an end to indiscriminate attacks, and measures to prevent sexual and tribal-based violence.
