European leaders were quick to voice support, urging Hamas to accept the proposal. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called the plan the &#8220;best chance&#8221; to end the war, while French President Emmanuel Macron hailed Trump&#8217;s &#8220;commitment to ending the war in Gaza&#8221; and insisted Hamas &#8220;has no choice but to immediately free all hostages and follow this plan,&#8221; according to the same reports. The Palestinian Authority offered support for Trump&#8217;s &#8220;sincere and determined efforts,&#8221; but many residents in Gaza expressed deep skepticism, with some dismissing the proposal as a &#8220;farce,&#8221; The New Arab reported.
