The Global Nonviolence Organization (Freemuslim Association) expressed strong concern over the Israeli Knesset committee\u2019s approval of a draft bill permitting the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners. The group described the proposal as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and human rights principles, warning it could further worsen political and humanitarian conditions in the occupied territories.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the organization said imposing capital punishment on political detainees contradicts the fundamental right to life and reflects policies of repression and retaliation. It cautioned that such measures could undermine peace efforts, increase hostility, and deepen mistrust between communities.<\/p>\n
