According to Anadolu Agency, leaders from Somalia and The Gambia both see AI as a crucial future “key player” that will make investigations faster and easier. Somalia, which began its forensic journey in 2016, already uses AI for facial recognition and receives significant backing from international partners, including the U.S. (FBI), the African Union, and Interpol.
