The WHO’s data reveals a significant trend: between 2014 and 2023, the number of newly arriving doctors from outside Europe tripled, while the number of nurses increased fivefold. Approximately 60% of new doctors and 72% of new nurses received their training outside the region.<\/p>\n
This growing reliance on foreign-trained staff is exacerbating regional healthcare gaps and placing additional strain on health systems.
