The detentions occurred during Ganesh Visarjan processions on August 26 and 27.<\/p>\n
According to the MCC, the youths were publicly humiliated and paraded through alleys while no disciplinary steps were taken against the officers involved, who reportedly justified the acts as \u201crehabilitation.\u201d MCC coordinator Mujahid Nafees said the incidents represent a serious violation of Article 21 of India\u2019s Constitution, which guarantees the right to life and liberty.<\/p>\n
