In Taiz, students were seen sitting on the ground under worn-out coverings, lacking even basic facilities such as blackboards. Teachers said overcrowding and the absence of proper classrooms make it difficult to manage lessons effectively. According to UN reports, more than 3,000 schools have been rendered unusable, while textbook printing has stalled and teacher numbers have sharply declined. <\/p>\n
The Yemeni Teachers\u2019 Union noted that many educators have retired without replacements, while others have been lost to displacement or death.
