Half of Restoration Work Completed on Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine Collections

The Al-Kafeel Museum for Treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine announced that half of the restoration program for artifacts belonging to the Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine in Samarra has been completed.<\/p>\n
Dr. Shouqi al-Moussawi, deputy head of the museum, said more than 145 valuable items were received in the first batch and subjected to examination, cleaning, and conservation. <\/p>\n
The process followed a structured plan, beginning with documentation and laboratory tests, followed by mechanical cleaning, restoration, stabilization, and protective preservation in line with international standards.<\/p>\n
Laboratory chief Sajjad Hamid noted that specialized teams carried out the work and that efforts are continuing to complete the remaining tasks.
