Dr. Khaled, Bangladesh\u2019s Advisor on Religious Affairs, made the request following a visit to the \u201cStanding Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation\u201d in Islamabad. He emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration among OIC member states to strengthen halal standards and promote economic and technological development.<\/p>\n
According to the Daily Star, Dr. Khaled also welcomed the establishment of a halal institute in Uganda with OIC backing, highlighting the organization\u2019s role in fostering scientific and technical cooperation.<\/p>\n
