It emphasized that lasting peace, cooperation, and coexistence are unattainable while Israel continues to occupy Arab land or threatens further annexation.<\/p>\n
The meeting coincided with intensified Israeli military operations around Gaza City and followed statements by Israel\u2019s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich advocating annexation of parts of the West Bank, aiming to undermine the prospect of a Palestinian state.<\/p>\n
While Egypt and Jordan maintain peace treaties with Israel, and the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco normalized relations under the 2020 Abraham Accords, the Arab League reaffirmed that any durable settlement must be based on a two-state solution aligned with the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
