The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that more than 12,000 people have been displaced in Yemen over the past eight months due to deteriorating humanitarian conditions and ongoing conflict compounded by climate-related factors.<\/p>\n
IOM\u2019s displacement tracking matrix recorded the movement of over 2,000 families, totaling more than 12,000 individuals, between January 1 and August 31. Recent floods and harsh weather have intensified internal displacement, with 64 families\u2014approximately 384 people\u2014displaced in just the past week.<\/p>\n
Most recent displacements were concentrated in the cities of Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Marib, and Sana\u2019a, with Taiz receiving 28 families, Marib 21, and Al Hudaydah 15.
