The Libyan Interior Ministry said it thwarted an attempted anti-tank missile strike targeting the UNSMIL compound. The rocket instead struck a house in Janzour, on the outskirts of Tripoli, though the distance from the UN compound was not specified.<\/p>\n
Authorities seized a pickup truck carrying two additional missiles and a launch platform but did not identify the perpetrators. Libya remains divided between the UN-recognized government in Tripoli, led by Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, and a rival administration in the east.
