Renowned Iranian calligrapher Ali Asghar Mousavian, known for holding a record in writing the Qur\u2019an 50 times, has unveiled a new artwork featuring Qur\u2019anic verses inscribed on a replica of the Kaaba. The piece, which will be presented to the Imam Reza Holy Shrine in Holy Mashhad, measures 124 by 124 centimeters and is crafted from fine wood.<\/p>\n
Seventy copper and gold-plated steel plates of varying sizes were engraved with verses of the Qur\u2019an using a steel needle in Naskh script. Mousavian said the project took five years and approximately 6,000 hours of work, marking his fiftieth artistic manuscript. A custom wooden case was also built to preserve and transport the piece.
