Speaking at the Ai4 conference in Las Vegas, Hinton proposed a novel approach to ensuring humanity’s safety by building “maternal instincts” into advanced AI systems.<\/p>\n

Hinton believes that artificial general intelligence (AGI) could arrive within the next 5 to 20 years. He warned that attempts to control these superintelligent systems through dominance would be futile.
