According to the Shia Waves Agency, citing Reuters, Yemen has become one of the most food-insecure nations after more than 12 years of war. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that approximately 17 million people are facing hunger. The recent regional unrest has diminished hopes for a lasting peace, despite a fragile ceasefire.<\/p>\n
Reemesh Rajasingham, OCHA’s Director of Coordination, warned that without a political solution, the cycle of violence, economic crisis, and humanitarian needs will continue.
