\nBased on a report from Clarion India, the UN human rights office has condemned the killing of six journalists in Gaza by Israeli forces, describing it as a “grave breach” of international humanitarian law. The office emphasized that Israel is obligated to respect and protect all civilians, including media professionals.<\/p>\n
According to the Gaza Government Media Office, the journalists were killed when the Israeli army targeted a journalists’ tent located near Al-Shifa Hospital. Among the victims were two journalists from Al Jazeera, Anas al-Sharif and Mohamed Qraiqea.<\/p>\n
The UN office highlighted the alarming number of journalists killed since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, stating that at least 242 Palestinian journalists have lost their lives.
