The clashes, starting July 13 between Druze fighters and Bedouin tribes, escalated to kill around 1,600 people, mostly Druze civilians. Rights activists demand an independent investigation and UN access, labeling the killing a war crime.<\/p>\n
Despite a ceasefire, tensions and access difficulties persist, with locals accusing the government of a blockade, which officials deny, citing humanitarian convoy entries.
