Experts note that the sector has diversified its funding sources, adopting a multi-donor approach to reduce reliance on any single provider. A significant factor in this shift is the growing support from the Pakistani diaspora, which sends home over $30 billion in remittances annually. This financial lifeline has enabled charities to continue key projects in health, education, and water, especially in rural areas. For instance, The Citizens Foundation has seen the share of its funding from overseas Pakistanis increase from 30% to more than 40%. Some NGOs have also secured funding from the Pakistani government and European nations.<\/p>\n
