He explained that it was not in divine expediency for the Imam to accept these proposals, as the events of Ashura were destined to unfold through a &#8220;takwini&#8221; (cosmic or existential) decree.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasized that beyond rejecting aid, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) received a direct message from God on Ashura, offering him the choice to accept martyrdom. The Imam, despite having this divine option, knowingly chose to accept martyrdom.
