The research, conducted by Flinders University in South Australia, found that GUV appliances led to a more than 12% decrease in overall viral respiratory infections across four participating nursing homes compared to standard conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers installed GUV devices in these facilities, where the technology works by emitting UVC rays that effectively deactivate airborne viruses and bacteria, thereby purifying the air. Lead author Andrew Shoubridge highlighted the ease of installation and cost-effectiveness of these GUV appliances.
