On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, the shrine organized a central mourning council in honor of Imam Zayn al-Abideen\u2019s (peace be upon him) legacy. The event took place in the courtyard of the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Shrine during both morning and evening sessions, attracting a large number of visitors.<\/p>\n
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a lecture delivered by Sheikh Fadel Al-Haidari. In his speech, Sheikh Fadel highlighted the significant role of Imam Ali, son of Al-Hussayn (peace be upon them), including his efforts in burying the sacred bodies of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), his family, and companions after the tragic Ashura event. He also emphasized the Imam\u2019s sacrifices in upholding the truth and remaining faithful to his principles.<\/p>\n
The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and poems expressing deep sorrow and reflecting on the painful tragedy of Ashura, featuring participation by Mulla Khalid Al-Karbalaei.<\/p>\n
