According to Ayman Al-Othman, the Public Prosecutor in Hama, criminal security teams, civil defense, and forensic medicine personnel were dispatched to the site immediately after receiving the report. The remains were exhumed and transported to the forensic medical center for necessary examinations and identification, as reported by the official Syrian News Agency (SANA).<\/p>\n
Preliminary investigations suggest the massacre likely occurred in 2013, a period marked by significant escalation by the former regime against the eastern rural areas of Hama. This discovery is part of a series of mass graves unearthed since the fall of the Assad regime last December. These findings continue to reveal new chapters of widespread killings and violations that occurred during the early years of the conflict.
