David Torfiel, a Christian researcher from Sweden and an expert in religious history, emphasized that the philosophy of Karbala represents a beacon of light for all humanity. \u201cImam Hussein (peace be upon him) is an eternal light that cannot be extinguished. His stand was not for a single sect or ethnicity, but for the dignity, justice, and love of humankind,\u201d Torfiel said.<\/p>\n

Highlighting Karbala\u2019s inclusive symbolism, Torfiel pointed out that figures associated with Imam Hussein\u2019s companions demonstrate the broad appeal of his cause. \u201cI learned that among Hussein\u2019s supporters was a Christian named John ibn Huwai, which shows that his mission was not confined to Muslims alone. Abbas ibn Ali (peace be upon him) is also revered by some Christians, and the shrines of Karbala attract Sunni Muslims, Jews, and Christians alike,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
