A 12-year-old boy named Sebastian has died in the UK after allegedly taking part in the dangerous TikTok \u201cblackout challenge,\u201d which encourages users to hold their breath or self-strangulate to the point of unconsciousness.<\/p>\n
West Yorkshire Police confirmed they were alerted by ambulance services about a youth in critical condition at a home in Castleford on June 27. Sebastian was taken to hospital but died soon after. Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious, while coroners continue investigating.<\/p>\n
A GoFundMe page organized by Agnieszka Czerniejewska stated that Sebastian\u2019s death resulted from the viral challenge, which has been linked to at least 20 deaths since 2022.
