Quran Competition in Slovenia Brings Together Over 1,000 Participants in 9th Annual Edition

\nThe ninth annual “Generation of the Quran” competition recently concluded in Ljubljana, Slovenia, drawing over 1,000 participants from across the country, Iqna reported.<\/p>\n
Hosted at the Islamic Cultural Center in the capital, this event stands as one of Slovenia\u2019s most prominent yearly Islamic gatherings, attracting students of all ages, along with parents and educators involved in Quranic and Arabic studies.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s competition featured eight categories focused on the theme \u201cThe Morals of a Muslim in the Quran and Sunnah.\u201d Contestants competed in memorizing specific Quranic chapters and explored topics such as the Prophet Muhammad\u2019s biography (peace be upon him and his pure family), the lives of his Companions, the pillars of Islam, and Islamic ethics. A total of 139 male and female participants took part, according to The Peninsula.<\/p>\n
Organized annually by the Islamic Community in Slovenia, the event includes contributions from 18 Quranic learning centers nationwide. These centers offer weekly lessons in Quran memorization, Islamic theology, the Prophet\u2019s life (Sirah), and moral teachings, aiming to foster Islamic values among youth within a multicultural environment.<\/p>\n
