The World Health Organization (WHO) has strongly condemned what it called a \u201chorrific attack\u201d on Al-Mujlad Hospital in Sudan\u2019s West Kordofan state, which left more than 40 people dead, including six children and five healthcare workers. The strike, which occurred on June 22, is among the deadliest targeting medical facilities since the outbreak of civil war in April 2023.<\/p>\n
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the incident as \u201ca tragedy that cannot be ignored,\u201d urging an immediate end to all attacks on healthcare facilities.
