In a newly released video, Saad bin Atif al-Awlaki, leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), called for assassinations of top U.S. officials and attacks on civilians and businesses, including major companies like Microsoft and Tesla. The 30-minute video marks a dangerous escalation, featuring direct threats against political leaders, economic centers, and even hospitals.<\/p>\n
Al-Awlaki, who assumed leadership of AQAP in Yemen last year, is one of the most wanted individuals by the U.S., which has offered a $6 million reward for information leading to his capture.
\nIn his statement, al-Awlaki also urged attacks on families of American politicians and labeled certain Arab leaders as \u201ctraitors,\u201d calling for attacks on their residences. <\/p>\n
