Shia Muslims in Iraq and around the world are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him), observed on the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah. Mourning ceremonies have been held in Husseiniyas and Islamic centers, honoring the Imam\u2019s legacy and contributions to Islam.<\/p>\n
The commemorations began days in advance and are marked by solemn gatherings attended by large numbers of men and women. Participants expressed deep sympathy to the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and reflected on the Imam\u2019s life and mission.<\/p>\n
