Among the claims are repeated instances of religious provocation, including Bibles, crucifixes, and inappropriate photographs being placed in Hammoud’s locker. The lawsuit also cites ethnic harassment, such as a pizza delivery job application left with a derogatory note reading “Go.”<\/p>\n
Hammoud asserts that his formal complaints to department leadership were systematically ignored. The filing further alleges broader misconduct within the force, including racial profiling of Black individuals near the Detroit-Melvindale border, with officers reportedly using inflammatory language like “let’s go hunt” during patrols.<\/p>\n
