Despite surging humanitarian needs, funding has dropped sharply. The 2025 humanitarian response plan for Yemen has received less than 10% of the required funding, nearly five months into the year. Aid agencies report that millions of vulnerable people, including women, children, and displaced families, are at risk as vital assistance is scaled back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organizations such as UNICEF, WFP, FAO, Oxfam, and the Qatar Red Crescent signed the statement, which coincides with an upcoming donor meeting in Brussels hosted by the EU. The groups also raised alarm over recent U.S. and Israeli airstrikes in Houthi-controlled areas, which caused civilian casualties and damaged infrastructure, compounding the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They urged increased development support, access to basic services, and sustainable livelihoods to help stabilize communities.
