The honourable Residence of the Supreme Marja, Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, held a commemorative ceremony marking the sorrowful martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Redha (peace be upon him) on Wednesday, 23rd Dhu al-Qa’dah 1446 AH (May 21, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to some traditions, the eighth Imam of Guidance was martyred on this day, in his absolute loneliness in the land of Toos, part of modern-day Khorasan in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The gathering followed Grand Ayatollah Shirazi\u2019s daily scholarly session, where Hujjat al-Islam Najjarzadeh recited elegies and poetry honoring the eighth Imam. Devotees expressed their devotion to Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him), reflecting on Imam Reza\u2019s legacy of knowledge and guidance.
