Quran activists from 50 countries have registered to participate in the fourth edition of the Karbala International Quran Award, organized annually by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in Iraq, Iqna reported. Wassam Nadir al-Delfi, head of the center\u2019s media office, reported that 468 contestants have signed up so far: 263 in memorization, 156 in recitation, and 49 in interpretation. Registration closes on May 1, after which assessments will begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Egypt leads with 41 participants, followed by Iraq (37), Nigeria (28), Indonesia (20), and Iran (19). Al-Delfi emphasized the event\u2019s growing international recognition and Karbala\u2019s status as a global center for Quranic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
